• Claude Bourbon on MySpace"The Frog With The Happy Blues" Claude Bourbon is a french born Bluesman currently based in Portsmouth. He plays mostly acoustic guitar and sings, performing sometimes solo and sometimes with a three piece band.
  
  
• Panama Grin Simon Tuffnail (bass player for Burnt Ice) is also the power house behind Panama Grin. He designed their site. Check it out.

• Ben Waters. This excellent site is devoted to Ben Waters, an excellent Piano player, now based in the Hampshire / Sussex region.

• Chasin Charleys Ghost. Portsmouth / Waterlooville based guitarist Pete Robison moved to France a couple of years ago and has now formed this new blues duo with French Guitarist Regis Abbal.

• Barking Spider Promtions. Barkimg Spider run the Bullfrog Blues club and a range of other folk and roots based gigs, as well as acting as an agent for a number of quality acts.
  
  
• Southsea Folks And Roots Festival Here's a direct link to the section of the Barking Spider Website that deals with the forth coming Southsea Folk and Roots Festival. It will be includeing blues as well as folk, country and other stuff. The festival take place during the last week in August fimishing on the of 1st September.
  
  
• The Two Rivers Folk Festival / Chepstow Dance Weekend An organisation of run in and arround Chepstow, arranging comunity folk dance and music events.
  
  
• The Blues Bank Collective are an organisation based in Portsmouth NH in the USA. They exist to promote and educate people about the blues.
  
  
• Be-Bops Music Exchange A Portsmouth based internet company, offering a range of jazz guitar orientated services. Including sheet music, tuition, and a large collection of varied and unusual instruments ( guitars, basses, african, indian, and other ethnic items ).It's also the home of guitarrecordsuk.com stocking a collection of literally thousands of jazz guitar recordings and related titles. • Hit'N'run Records Another source of blues and jazz albums ( as well as many other genres ) is Hit'N'Run records. They're located in Fawcett Road, Southsea. Check out their website before popping down to see what they have to offer.
  
  
• JRPMusic Andy Broads CD From The Roots On Down was recorded by James Perret at Watershed Studios. Watershed no longer operates in it's original form but James continues to work, offering excellent CD mastering services.
  
  
• Dugout Studios Before you can master it you've got to record it! DugOut Studios offer spacious facilities, with two large rooms with neighbours well out of harms way. Big Easy recorded their forthcoming CD here, and The Rhythm Kings made a useful demo a couple of years back. Dugout also offer rehearsal facilities.
  
  
• There's something youv'e forgotten! Before you can record your blues album you need a guitar! One of the best places to buy your guitar in Portsmouth is Street-Level Music. They can be found at the corner of Elm Grove and Victoria Road North. Barry an Tim are both very helpful and will get you kitted out. Allough Barry claimed to have a web site I couldn't track it down and so you'll have to take a trip down there instead.

• St Denys Folk And Blues Club meets every thursday at the St Denys Hotel, 1 Aberdeen Road, Southampton, and is run by Lee Raymond. They have an open stage most weeks and particularly want more blues players to come along. So if your a pro who wants to try out a new number or a beginner looking for a safe place to start give them a try. ( Just don't tell John I told you to go somewhere else on a thursday night!)
